This trip enhanced the REDHORSE Associations creditability, fortified our visibility by contacting well over 30 significant civic, community and political leaders, giving them the opportunity to meet and speak directly with the Leadership of the RHA which directly resulted in enhancing our relationship, solidifying our friendship, and warmly thanking a severely economically depressed city for their wonderfully warm and generous hospitality to the REDHORSE Association family.
The objective of this trip was four fold.
1. To plan a closer rapport with the Marlin Country Club personnel, local businesses, and other civic and political leaders, enhance the positive relationship between the RHA and civilian populace and this should result in a more successful event.
2. To organize any details related to the planning phase and advance preparation that should avoid any unforeseen issues that would impact our special guests and attendees of the RHA 3rd annual golf classic.
3. To Schedule requirements, catering, menu items, entertainment and significant prizes, etc.
4. To confirm or “light a fire” (the RED HORSE way), under the Management of the Best Western, to ensure he gets the hotel ready for occupancy by our October deadline.
Emphasis was placed with the Management of the Best Western Hotel on the importance of having his rooms open for occupancy by October. He assured me that it will happen.
It is recognized and well thought-of that Marlin Country Club and the Citizens of the City of Marlin Texas are indeed true to the RED HORSE sprit and tradition, as they are leaders, not followers and they don’t waste time doing unimportant things.
