Chief Anderson passed away on 13 March 2010 at the age of 63 years.  The web site To Gether We Served only has information that he served in RED HORSE Squadrons from 1966 through 1972 in the 554, 557, 819, 820, 823, and the 1st CEG. Does any one know the specific years and rank in which he served in these squadrons?  is site has been placed/posted by a friend who didn't have all of his information.

You can post this information at:    http://airforce.togetherweserved.com/profile/117238

If you have problems you can email me with the information at:   chiefswede@sbcglobal.net

Rest in Peace, Chief.

I was in the 557 Red Horse at Eglin Fld 2 in 1970 but Chief Anderson might have been in the 557 in Korea before it was de-activated there and re-activated at Eglin. If he was at Eglin the same time I was, I sure don't remember him. What AFSC did he come up through?

Hey, Old Sarge. I met Chief Anderson in Utapao, when he was on his way to either Kadena or the Phillipines. I believe he was in Airfields, then. Then, at some point, he went to Korea, where he remained for several tours with the 554th, then home to retire. I rotated home, to the 823rd, in September of '75, just before the HQ moved to Korea. His website, Red Horse Country was the first one I found when I was looking for anything Red Horse, after my Lung Cancer operation in 2001.

Jim,

Although they both go by 'Andy', this is James Anderson. Robert Anderson is the owner of RED HORSE Country.

Jelli,

You and I were at U-Tapao (554) and Hurlburt (823) at the same times. What shop were you in? I was in the Carpenter Shop.

Hi, Old Sarge. I was in the Plumbing Shop at the 823rd. I remember Sgt Traylor, and of course, Greg McDougal from there.  Greg and I were also at Utapao together. If you were in the Carpenter Shop at UT, you must remember SSgt? Royce Garsee, who I reestablished contact with a few years ago. He and I were on Prime Beef 21 together, at Nha Trang, RVN in 1966. I got to see him and Greg at the Convention in Branson, last year.
